South Resiliency Project
View allThe South Resiliency Project will protect the park and the adjacent community against more severe and more frequent storms. The project will create an integrated coastal flood risk management system from the Museum of Jewish Heritage, through Wagner Park, across Pier A Plaza, and along the northern border of the Historic Battery. Now completed and re-opened, the new Wagner Park and Wagner Pavilion portions of the South Resiliency Project include expansive lawns and gardens; classroom and community space, dining, and programming spaces. The pavilion also includes public restrooms, beautiful views toward the Statue of Liberty and universal access for all.
